A CASE OF BURGLARY SOLVED WITH THE ARREST OF EX-EMPLOYEE AND HIS ASSOCIATE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF REGISTRATION OF THE CASE BY THE TEAM OF PS KASHMERE GATE.

THE FOOTAGES OF CCTV CAMERAS HELPED IN SOLVING THE CASE SWIFTLY.

ONE OF THE EX-EMPLOYEE OF THE COMPLAINANT WHO WAS FULLY AWARE WITH THE MOVEMENTS OF COMPLAINANT IS ONE OF MAIN ACCUSED.

PART OF STOLEN CASH OF RS.4.80 LAKHS RECOVERED FROM THE ACCUSED PERSONS.

BOTH THE ACCUSED PERSONS ARE BUDDING CRIMINALS, HOWEVER THEIR PREVIOUS ANTECEDENTS ARE BEING VERIFIED.

BRIEF FACTS:
On 01.08.2022 the complainant Rajkumar Gupta r/o Sector-5. Rajendra Nagar Sahibabad Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, age-58 years, (who deals in the business of copper), approached PS Kashmere Gate and reported in his complaint that on 31.07.2022 at about 05:00 PM he closed his shop No. 772 Chabi Ganj Kashmere Gate, Delhi and went to his home. Next day on 01.08.2022 at about 09:30 AM, while he opened his shop and checked the almirah he found that cash amounting rupees about 9 lakhs has been stolen by some unknown person by breaking the locks of his shop.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 483/22 dated 01.08.2022 u/s 380/457 IPC was registered at PS Kashmiri Gate and investigation was taken up.

TEAM & INVESTIGATION:
Immediately, a dedicated police team comprising of SI Vijay Maan and HC Manish, under the monitoring of Inspr. Santosh Kumar Gupta, (Inspr. Investigation), close supervision of Inspr. Kumar Jiweshwar, SHO/PS Kashmere Gate and guidance of Shri Vijay Singh, ACP/Kotwali was constituted and specific tasks were given to each member of the team.

During investigation in the case, the complainant was examined in detail to get any clue about the incident and ex-employees of the complainant were also interrogated. The above said police team conducted technical investigation and several CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity of the place of incident and the possible routes followed by the culprits were checked and analysed. During the technical investigation, the team succeeded in identifying one person committing burglary in the shop of the complainant.

The team further deployed their secret sources to develop the available clues and to trace the accused person. Surveillance was mounted and the suspects were identified and matched with the CCTV footage on record. One of the accused persons was identified by the complainant who was found to be his ex-employee. Ultimately, continuous and sustained efforts of the police team bore fruits and on the basis of technical investigation & secret sources, the team succeeded in apprehending one of the accused persons identified as Deepak, age-25 years from Shastri Park Delhi on 02.08.2022 during night.

The accused person confessed about his involvement in the present burglary case along with his associate in the shop of complainant. At his instance, part amount Rs. 2.8 Lacs of the stolen cash was recovered from his house. Subsequently, at the instance of arrested accused raid was conducted and the co-accused identified as Shrichand, age-24 years was also arrested from his house and cash amounting Rs. 02 lacs was recovered from his possession.

INTERROGATION:
During interrogation, both the accused persons Deepak, age-25 years and Shrichand, age-24 years confessed about committing theft of cash from the shop of the complainant during the intervening night of 31.07.2022 & 01.08.2022. The accused Deepak disclosed that he worked as a helper in the shop of the complainant but he left the job due to some reasons about 6 months ago. Further, he disclosed that he was well aware about the movements of his ex-employer and about keeping the cash in the shop so he alongwith his associate Shrichand made the plan to steal the cash from the shop of the complainant.

The accused Deepak is school dropout and has studied up to 8th standard only whereas the accused Shrichand is an illiterate. Both used to work as labourers in loading & unloading the goods carriers, but they were not satisfied with their job and get indulged in crime to earn easy money.

DETAIL OF ACCUSED PERSONS:

  1. Deepak r/o Gali No. 9 Shastri Park, Delhi, aged-25 years. (His previous antecedents are being verified).
  2. Shrichand r/o Jameer Wali Gali Azad Market, Delhi, aged-24 years. (His previous antecedents are being verified).

RECOVERY:
• Part of stolen cash of Rs. 4.80 Lacs.

Further investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are being made to affect more recovery of remaining cash from the accused persons.
